So why is the guy covering the dash? I mean he's getting that cover way up to the windshield sticking his fingers up in there and everything. Running with final interior? They covered these cars in the pics in the other thread. Now, obviously they don't care if people shoot the outside of them, but what's on the inside now?

Maybe this guy's covering up part of the super secret HUD that shines a huge bowtie on the windshield when you turn the key.

Doubt it. But, who knows.... fbodfather did say that SOMETHING that is "SO COOL" happens when you turn the key... hmmm Maybe there's a bigger data center now that has a cool splash screen when you start.

I think he meant the engine will turn on and you'll wet yourself. I'll be wearing a diaper when I drive in mine.

So, this is STILL a work in progress and it already looks THIS good. Can't believe 5 months ago I was worried how it would turn out. My only comment/concern is, I sure hope I don't have to invest a small fortune in after market items to get something that looks close to the concept.

The upper grille on the car in the beginning of this thread is closer to the concept than the one in those pics of the pre-production models.

Now the LOWER grille... I don't like the busy one on the 'SS' at the beginning of the thread. It should be only 1 or 2 horizontal bars.

Aside from that I love the SS. I know the ugly amber taillights won't be on our version here in the US, so won't complain about them. I'm assuming some higher end headlights with halo's will be an option, so I won't complain about the ones in these pics looking like the original Bumblebee headlights. I would like to see a nicer exhaust exit though. The concept with it's larger ports (fake or not) looked a lot better than the small, almost unfinished looking (I hope they are unfinished) ones in these pics.

Now just add the GFX/spoiler and grille from the red accessories thread and I'll be in heaven.

Oh, and the more I see of the production rear bumper the more I like it. It looks fantastic from the side (minus the hitch) in the 4th pic down.

Front plate is exactly where I assumed it would be all along. While not as ugly as I expected, I will still be telling the dealer to leave it off mine.

Agreed! WAY too busy. Very same reason I hate those ugly mesh grilles that are so popular.

Just to offer another point of view... The 5th Gen has never had anymore than a passing 'retro feel' to me in the first place. What I've seen, all along, is a thoroughly modern sharp angular design with a few retro elements thrown in for nostalgia.
