766 Horsepower! - New Dart LS3 Head and Cam Motion LLR!
There is a new player on the block in LS3 square port cylinder heads. Dart's new Pro1 LS3 as cast heads just laid down 766 FWHP in initial testing on the Engine Dyno with a Cam Motion Low Lash Solid Roller.
The engine is an 11:1 440" Stroker that averaged over 730 HP from 5500 all the way to 8000 RPM. The heads have a 280cc intake port, 68cc chambers, 2.165 intake valve and a 1.600 exhaust valve. They flow 370 cfm on the intake side and 252 cfm on the exhaust side. The cam is a modest lift Low Lash Solid Roller with very modest spring pressures of #145 seat and #411 open. Here is the press release graphic from Dart: There is still more testing happening right now, so these HP #s just might get bigger. We expect to have these heads available soon on the Cam Motion website. |

You know you can't post that picture and not get lots of questions, right? :-)
Could we see a full set of flow numbers? The 370 cfm seems to be a 0.8" number. Also, which intake is that, and can you share the cam specs to get to this number? Regardless, that's a nice headline number! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk |

Will anyone be doing a Dart head comparison vs Frankenstein, or other aftermarket LS3 heads? Also, what will be the price point comparisons with other aftermarket LS3 heads?

Not sure what advantages if any these have on a setup like that. With a 440 LS7 style heads flow more and have been doing numbers like that for a long time. Now if these can work on a stock bore LS3 that is great, but even then small bore LS7 heads work great too.

It should be 4.185" bore X 4.0" stroke. That's the norm.
