New scosche dash kit 2.0 review

I installed the new scosche dash kit for the Camaro5 about a month ago and just want to say it works flawlessly compared to the old version. The touch screen has a smooth operation no glitches and it has all the factory controls on the right screen, everything is adjustable just like the factory unit. All my steering wheel controls still work. The fit and finish is on point fits like OEM, Installation was straight to the point came with all the harnesses needed . Only complaint I would say I have was the hardness was a little to long, had to snake it in into the compartment.

What's that weird looking bulb thing in the top/center of the kit? The emergency flasher button?

When I look at this unit on Scosche's website, it says for 2010-2014 vehicles. No 2015? I don't get that. I would think the 2015 chassis would be the same as the 2014.

Looks nice, do the chimes like turn signals and backup sensor come out of the scosche unit or your speakers?

Any issues with this kit that the older version had? Decreased key fob range or TPMS issues?

None that I could tell. Version 2.0 is definitely way better. No glitches so far.

Are the gauges any easier to see with this kit? I hate having to shift my body and head just to see my oil pressure.

That would need to be somehow wired in to your head unit. I don't think the kit has anything to do with it. Only reason I did this because my car didn't come with mylink.

I just put mine in. So far so good

On the install, there were two wire colors that did not match the manual. Manual has brown for mute and light blue/yellow for Kenwood SWC but harness has yellow/black and blue. I assumed the yellow/black was mute since some headunits use this color convention but when I had it connected, my headunit was always muted so I disconnected it. I haven't got the Kenwood SWC working yet either, I'm assuming I'll have to wire in a resistor to fix it like the last kit.

This is actually the 4th dash kit I've put in the car. I went stock>Scosche 1st Gen>Metra>Metra LC>Scosche 2nd Gen. Luckily this came out before I got the PAC kit or I might have had the whole collection
