Drive it til the snow starts or temp drops too low OR when they start dropping salt, which ever comes first.

+1
Except for when temp drops..
For me it's usually when they do the first dropping of salt. So around late November or early December. Then she sleeps for about 5 months.

I just picked up a phenomenal lease on a 2013 graphite blue Nissan Frontier SV crew cab with 4.0 V6 and comfortably equip'd.
2 grand down and 265 a month.
Going to be a great winter!!

I drove my ZL1 in the snow with no issues of any cracking tires. What I do recommend is getting winter tires to be safe so your still able to drive the car. Tomorrow isn't promised. Having a car sit for 4-5 months is ridiculous to me unless its some sort of vintage classic which this is not.

Your one of few!!

And if tomorrow doesn't come I think the last thing on my mind while I'm floating wherever would be how I didn't drive it 5 months each year.

It always sucks putting your car away for that 4 or 5 months but the upside to that is when I get it out in the spring it feels like a brand new car again with gobs of power... and because of this spring is my favorite time to drive my car. With fall being a very close second fav.

I plan to remove the wheels also. I am going to use jack stands, but I am going to cut 2x4 to a proper length and stick under control arms to compress the suspension an inch or two. Dont want to dangle the suspension that long. 5-6 months.

I'm in Nor. CA and it does get to the mid-lower 30s and sometimes (rarely) it will get into the very upper 20s. I probably will not drive it if the temp is that low on the F1s. If that happens I will either: Get winter tires and still drive it. Or I have been toying with the idea of getting a different dd. But I really can't see doing that just for winter "here". If I lived somewhere it got to freezing or below regularly, I would not drive it every day and probably have a different dd but I would drive it once in a while still on warmer days.

I'm bringing my car from AZ to NYC soon. As long as there's no snow and/or salt on the roads, I'm driving it. Life goes by at the blink of an eye. I'm not wasting it....

The first time the salt the roads its everywhere till spring and the rainy season. Ive been a state inspection mechanic for 9 yrs in pittsburgh and see the corrosive effect of road salt after 1 winter season. If you want to keep your ride nice, dont drive it in winter season. Ive seen 10-15 yr old southern cars and western cars that look better underneath than a 2 yr old new england vehicle. Just my .02
