WTB: 2010-2013 Ground Effects/Splitter

Looking for the OEM ground effects package, or at the very least the splitter (GM part number 20979252). It’s incredibly hard to find, even aftermarket, it seems. Thanks!

Good luck with your search. I believe there are a couple other guys looking for the same things. Since they have been discontinued just about all the ones that used to be out there have dried up.

It's crazy that this Package is so hard to find, I really don't know what I will put on there next time I hit a Deer. I will just keep an eye out for it and buy the whole front.

Don’t speak it into existence lol. I’m waiting to hear back from the guy selling his. He said someone had already made arrangements to pick it up tomorrow, but would let me know if the deal fell through. Here’s hoping it falls through for my sake. They have clone splitters on eBay for a quarter of the price. I may take a shot on one if I can’t find one of the OE ones soon.

The biggest problem with this whole situation is the hardware that mounts the splitter to the car. Without the hardware it’s not easy to securely mount the splitter because of the way it’s made. The hardware is even harder to find than the splitters. It’s pretty irritating that GM killed this kit to Begin with and then also that the aftermarket hasn’t come up with a solution to the lack of hardware for the aftermarket splitters that are out there. All of them say they require the oe mounting setup. I believe this kit went out of production in ‘14 or ‘15 pretty stupid.

I was afraid I may run into that issue as well. The original mounting hardware isn’t shown in this guy’s picture, but I think I’m going to roll the dice on it anyway. Were there special screws or rivets in the hardware mounting kit? I may talk to some folks who have had to improvise and see what they did to finagle it.

I’m thinking something similar, surely there is a someone that could fabricate them for you in today’s world.

This is them. Anything seem off or look weird to you guys? They look good to me, except the splitter seems to have a bit of a warp (hopefully it was just in storage or something and will straighten). I asked if he had the mounting hardware and I’m waiting to hear back. Thanks again for all you guys’ input!

Looks like the splitter has a tab broken off for the bottom lip

The splitter uses a French cleat mounting style, the brackets are kinda weird not really what I expected. I’ll dig up something that might help clarify. Also make sure the rear diffuser has the corner brackets by the wheel wells. That’s another important piece that’s usually missing. It’s taken me almost 18 months to find the diffuser and rockers but I’ve finally got them rounded up, still trying to decide if I really want to pursue the splitter or just keep my RPI ZL1 style. My old SS was a GFX car, and I honestly think the ZL1 style I’ve got is more aggressive than the GFX and it actually lowers the front of the car a bit.

The splitter above definitely looks like it’s missing a tab in the front wheel well area. If you do get a GFX splitter and no hardware don’t be tempted to double side tape it with no other mechanical mounting. It has been documented a ton on here that it will drop and drag the road at normal speeds let alone high speed runs.

Edit: this link shows the mounting setup.
