Built trans issue

Circle D built 6L80, 4400 stall, 40K cooler

checked the fluid via the JRE trans dipstick and level was normal, fluid looked perfect, no bad smell or debris, trans temp never goes over 200F

I was idling at a stoplight a few days ago and when I went to go take off it "free revved" felt as if it was in neutral didn't move an inch, didn't touch to shifter or the throttle, let the RPMs settle before i did anything but the transmission kicked itself into 1st gear around 1500 RPMs, had to keep driving but it shifted perfectly, same thing happened a few stoplights later

The transmission shifts perfect, and lockups perfect, only thing i notice is a delay from park to drive, or even park to reverse, other than that the temperatures have been slightly lower, not sure if that's just the weather changing

Other than those 2 incidents where it felt as if it was in neutral and the delayed engagement its been perfect ever since.

I'm wanting to go ahead and do a fluid service to see if that will fix anything, but not 100% positive. Any help would be appreciated

Maybe the shifter linkage is not lined up correctly. Maybe when you shift into drive see if you feel it go into drive.
Did you check the fluid level when its hot and on a flat surface?
