I also love how the side profile brings out a lot of the cues of the 1st generation Viper. Kinda retro...if you can call the 90s retro ha ha.

What year is the 34 mpg corporate average? 2014?

So V8s don't lead to bankruptcy, it was pretty much not being able to sell more V8s that was GMs problem. Gas hit $4 and people ran from the V8 in shock, primarily in Full Size Trucks. That segement has now stablized and the Two U.S. OEMs and Chrysler now selling FSTs in good numbers again. So building and selling V8s does not and did not lead to bankruptcy. Engineering, building and selling what the customer wants is ususally a pretty good business model.
