A few observations, but I would need to do some benchmarking. GM may be just "competitive" in certain areas.
1 - Trunk trim is about as cheaply done as you can get. 2 - Black plastic bezel around the door handles for all colors shown. Should be the color of the door trim, but that costs more. 3 - I think they've only shown the Premium model (no more LTZ?). Need to see what happens when we get the lower trim levels and don't get the huge tablet size touch screen. May be ok. So it appears GM is saving money in the less noticeable places and putting it in areas where it does matter. Which is a good thing in a non-luxury segment. And the 2017 Regal better be reallllllly good based on this.

Is it just me or does the car look really off in certain angles. Like some pictures make the front end look really out of proportion, but then a different angle it looks gorgeous....

Looks like a winner for Chevy to me. I would much rather have a Malibu, Fusion, Taurus or Impala over Toyota's and Honda's.....

Did they put the 3rd brake light at the top of the rear window just below the Shark Fin?

Look at Numbers 1 and 2 in this segment. Probably last and next to last for styling. But the new Malibu should at least not have that as a detractor.

Looking at that picture got me wondering if the Malibu might be the next NASCAR Sprint cup car when the SS is gone.

Look at the rear quarter glass on the Malibu....................predict it might be close to the Gen 6 Camaro. Hmmmmmmm

Looks very similar to the 2015 200
I have a 200 and like the clean front end better than the Chevy, the dash is too busy in the Malibu and the Uconnect in the 200 is great, the rest is a wash. |

Its a fine car but honestly looks like all the rest in this segment. Doesn't make me want to pull my wallet out and trade in my current sedan. Back in 1999 dodge came out with a interesting idea of a sedan with the rear doors hidden to look more like a coupe with the charger concept. I wish some of the current auto makers would go in that direction. Has great potential.

Well I can pretty much believe I can safely say we are looking at a good idea of what the 2016 Camaro steering wheel will look like :-)
You'll notice since 2010 Cruze looks pretty much the same throughout the 2012 Camaro.. 2014 the Corvette switched over to a type of Stingray shaped steering wheel center with a center raised area for the horn. Now they have switched again to a somewhat new style. Compare the 2016 Cruze and the 2016 Volt to the 2016 Malibu and you'll notice quite the similar steering wheel. The buttons appear to be identical placement. 2016 VOLT 2016 CRUZE 2016 MALIBU So I am pretty sure we getting a somewhat sneak-peak at the overall new design of the 2016 Camaro steering wheel :-)
