If I recall correctly, this was an issue in the C4 Corvette community. I used to own an 87 Corvette vert and noticed the same on the rear of my car. This discussion was brought up before over there and many people had the same issue if not all. It was how the car was built by GM. Then again I could be wrong.

Camber does looks off a bit. Any issues when you at the track?

So the alignment was slightly off and had it corrected. It still looked off while up on the lift. Measured from out side of tire to sub frame bolt point. From left to right, it’s off by 1/4” and would need to be moved to the right 1/8” to make it spot on. Said could be this was from factory or possible slop in bolt. Wasn’t in an accident, for sure. Anyone else have this issue or notice? Can see ifitcan be corrected but was told it would be purely cosmetic as it’s fibe now........

They should be directional tires , almost looks like someone rotated the tires and shouldn't have . Tire rotation correct ?, they look like the same tire on each side if you look at the tread.

1LE comes with 285s on all corners but the front wheels are 20x10 and rear or 20x11 , they stretch the 285 tires onto the bigger rim . Good chance someone screwed up the wheels if the tires were changed . check wheel sizes also.

Wow, you made me go and check my 2011 SS and mine is the same way ! Put a straight edge on the tire and up to the fender and the driver side sticks out about 1/4 inch and the passenger side is only about an 1/8 inch. I have 315's on the rear, new tires and I thought it looked different, but said naaaahhh, and low and behold, it IS different. So now I am curious why it is this way, car drives fine and has had a recent alignment done since installing new rims and tires.

No, I did not rotate the tires, there are 305's in the rear.

They are the stock/factory 1LE wheels with the CAMARO stamp on them. I have seen other guys running 315's so I don't think the 305's should be an issue, at least they haven't been yet.

I spoke to the guy there, and he said it could just be the way it was from the factory, I would like to believe it wouldn't be built that much off in the rear?? The front is also off a little bit with the same issue with the sub frame. He said it was purely cosmetic at this point as the car was aligned and it handles great. He said I could take it to a great frame shop and see if there was "slop" in the bolt hole for the sub-frame, and maybe have it re-aligned to the right 1/8", which would make it dead center......surprised by this to say the least!

The 305s should be fine but what i'm saying is if someone put 4 new tires on at the same time they may have switched the wheels thinking it didn't matter being that OEM tires are all the same 285s . The front wheels on a 1LE is a 10 inch width and the rear wheels are 11 inch width , may have a 10 inch on one side and 11 inch on the other in the rear , also in the front . All 4 tires done at the same time ?

Went to my dealership today and asked my techs about this issue and they had no clue and never had seen it before. I told them about the issue with the C4 vettes being the same and were clueless about what to think.

So let me ask, did you have the alignment reset and it mostly corrected the problem?? You mentioned also that the front was off a bit as well, maybe that is why my left front rubs the fender well and the right does not. Curious.. Thanks
