Found this in my oil pan
Just trying to see if anyone else has any idea what this is. I thought maybe a bearing, but it doesn't seem round enough and their are no notches at the ends to connect them to another bearing. Also seemed to thin for a bearing. Ideas would be much appreciated.

Time to pull the timimg chain cover if you haven't done so already. Exactly why I went to the older style damper.

As soon as they pop loose they can fall right down into the pan, if lucky. The front of the pan on the LS is right underneath the oil pump, which is right under the tensioner.
I have seen a few where that clip pops out and gets wedged behind the upper timing gear and creates carnage. Falling into the pan is probably the best scenario. This is one of the main reasons we switch to the dog bone LS2 style. No moving parts.

Mine fell into the pan as well thankfully. No issues, just noticed something was blocking the oil from coming out of the drain hole one day
