Ok thanks for the quick answer RPI!
Definitely on the next month's todo list. Does the whole door panel need to be removed or just the panel piece. Instructions included?

You do need to remove the inside panel, you can do the set in about 1.5 hours, maybe less. We do include instructions.

Thanks!

Dumb question but what's the difference between these panels and the ones like on my car from GM? I don't remember what I paid back then but I don't think they were $400. These GM panels are painted on the inside so you don't have to worry about scuffing the paint.

Our panels allow the light to shine through. Our panels come in all colors. GM doesnt offer 90% of the colors. Our panels come with clear coat and will not scrarch.

We have sold non abl panels for 2 years. The clear coat keeps them from scratching.

Thanks

Have you done any yet with the interior painted instead of exterior? Would love to see a pic if so, see if there's any difference in how the color shows. I guess I could be the guinea pig, if not?

Got my finger on the Buy button!!!

I don't think that the color would show through I would guess because if these are fiberglass as the post says they are not clear acrylic and would be pointless to paint the inside

Mike from what I've read on the forum, the stock pieces are painted from the inside. I could be wrong, but have seen quite a few mention that. Either way I love this mod now with my existing ABL.

All I've got to say is that it's about time!!!

Now that I have no money for mods... With what you paid for tooling, I'm sure these will be around for a while. I can't wait to get these!!!

Here is a DIY to remove the door panels.
http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread...+panel+removal

Remove the panels and change the LED at the end of the light pipe. If you want a color other than the GM color, you will need to open the black plastic 90 degree angled LED holder. Cut off the old LED and solder on a new LED and diode with the color of your choosing. Insert it back into the LED holder, and attach it back to the light pipe and reinstall the door panel.

Here are a few more threads to look at.
