Recommendations for drag racing rim and tire

I have modified my SS and all it will do at the track is spin with the factory 21 inch rim and Pirelli Tires. They dont make a 21 inch drag tire is what I'm being told. Need to go with new rims just for racing so I could throw some Nitto's on the back. Any suggestions on rims and tires for drag racing?

If you want to spend an arm and a leg, bogart makes an awesome drag wheel to fit the camaro, the only other option right now is a 18" ZO6 wheel and you could run a 305 drag radial. Thats the cheaper route... I have know idea why no one has made a 18" drag wheel for the camaro at a fare price yet, we NEED them bad! I am hoping weld steps up and makes somthing at a fare price. Just for the rear set of bogarts and tires will cost like $2k!

I'm going with 18" Forgestar F14s all the way around for the track, but you could go with just two for the rear. Very reasonable and light weight (around 54 lbs each with tires). Send Tony (Nine Ball) a PM...he'll take care of you.

As Russ said, this is the combo to go with if you want max widths and perfect fitment:

Another customer runs the 305/45-18 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial II on his same wheels. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...StreetRadialII
