Picking up my new LS today question about winter tires

I'm going to pick up my new I/O LS today. With my next paycheck which I will get Jan 7 I'm going to buy some winter tires from Tire Rack. I am planning on getting the 17" Pirelli's @ 225/65R17. Now the stock rims on the LS are 19" I believe, do I HAVE to buy new rims as well or is it possible to go have these 17" wheels mounted on the stock rims? I dont care about damaging these rims as I'm going to save up for new summer rims and just wind up using these for winter next year as well. I know Tire Rack has a list of service providers they suggest which is where Ill choose where I go but I was just wondering if it were possible to mount the smaller tires on the bigger rim.

The rims on an LS are 18". As far as snow, what is that?

Get the default winter package deal from Tire Rack with wheels and tires already mounted and balanced. It was a great deal at about $850 including shipping. Just take off the stock set and put on the winter setup. Takes less than an hour, and that was not hurrying at all.

It is not good to keep taking the tires off the rims and remounting them. It is a real hassle twice a year and will beat up the rims eventually.

The 17" Blizzacks are awesome! This car handles the snow great with snow tires. Just keep the traction and stability control on.
