saw on a c7 corvette forum that people were saying it does not affect the hud at all.

I had 70% tint put on the windshield of my ZL1 back in August. The HUD display looks exactly the same as it did before the tint.

70% is a very light tint, the lower the % the darker the tint, I have 15% on my side windows and see just fine at night, so I imagine 70% isn't affecting him at night, probably did it to help with glare from the sun a little in the day.

Windshield tint can make it impossible to use polarized glasses, but the HUD already makes that a no-go...

I have the Air 70 on the windshield and can see the HUD just fine day and night. I would have gotten the 90 if they had had it. Sometimes it's hard to see on a corner with no street lights or other illumination. Of course, I'm in the senior division around here so that may not effect a much younger person.

Here's a picture showing how much tint you get with the 70%.

I’m able to see just fine at night. And I’m in the social security group. If anything, the 70% tint cuts down on some of the glare from on coming headlights.

You need a pair of polarized sunglasses with the pattern rotated 90 degrees; many optical places sell them. Try looking at your HUD after rotating your sunglasses 90 degrees as a test; the brightness will be almost normal.

I've got 35% on my windshield (reasonably dark) and I have no issues whatsoever
