By that info it looks like LSL intake and LXL exhaust if I'm correct. Those really aren't super aggressive lobes compared to some, especially the LXL. There are definitely cams out there made on super aggressive lobes sold to street cars that shouldn't be.

Ya, they may have changed the lobe design after I bought mine. There are a couple different specs out there according to Lethal. Which could explain why I had such crappy dyno numbers. Either way, now my car makes 0hp. Haha

Lasted around 35000 mi. Had the JRE 445 package installed. Not sure of the issue but I'm sure its a failed lifter. I would really like to know the root cause this...pushrods too long? spring pressure too high?

I don't abuse or race the car at all, it drives 10mi to work and back. Check out the video I posted to youtube. Symptoms before the failure were very low oil pressure (half way between red and the first hash mark) and higher than normal oil temperature.

Any ideas from the experts out there...before I tear it down...what can I expect to see?

Thanks!

I'm going to guess you broke a spring and bent valves

Thought the "night fury" was a Lethal Racing cam?

It is very much a Lethal Racing cam. We order a good amount of parts from SDPC for the shop. They stock the cam on our design and made a part number for their system. You cannot order our cam direct from them.

All of the Lethal Racing cams we have - Night Fury( NA & Blower Version ), Enforcer( NA & Blower ), Prowler, Phantom, LR226, and are all now ground by Cam Motion and are sold with a Manley 660 Kit with Ti Retainers.

I wonder which "LS3 cam package" is engineered for all out durability?
I'm almost tempted to start a new thread if a cam package exists that will allow the end user to reach 80000-100000 trouble free miles, with proper maintenance of course, or would I be dreaming?

Cam Motion is getting nice reviews as stand alone cam quality, but I think I'd be one who would be most interested in a complete package engineered for durability as number 1, and power number 2 on the priority list.

My enforcer cam had around 20-30k with very little wear when I pulled it for the new build

I would think the GMPP cam/heads combo would be that. Of course, if you have an L99, the lifters and conversion would come into play.

I'm wondering whats the ratio of cam failure that was self installation vs shop installation?
