If it is a mistake, I would keep it. Like a mistake on a coin. Collectors LOVE those, and would fetch a MINT. Same with the car. Keep it, and get a year's worth of free oil changes or something from the dealer.

I think the main thing to consider is whether or not the blue look bothers you. If the fact that its "wrong" is going to drive you nuts every time you start the engine, then get it fixed. If you aren't that anal retentive, then keep it and enjoy your new ride. I wouldn't plan on paying for your retirement with your Camaro because the dash lights are the wrong color or anything, but it might be worth a little extra someday because it's different.

Personally, I could go either way on this if it were my car. I think deep down that I lean toward being anal retentive with mild OCD, so the fact that it's "wrong" would bother me enough to get it fixed.

I'm going to be getting orange panels down the road and I will also have the blue gauge..Many people who get a 1SS will probably be switching out the panels so having the orange cluster is more rare if you look at the amount of cars that have them..

What I'm hoping for is that my car gets the orange one that should have been in yours

I vote for keeping the blue. Plus if you have the dealer swap it out, you may end up with other problems such as a squeeky dash or rattles.

I'm sure all 10000 are not members here so it may be more common than you think. Especially knowing most people out there are not as informed as most of the members. This may be a case of they ran low of the orange clusters and installed these. I'm sure GM will change them but they definitely won't let you keep the blue one and receive the orange one if you ever changed your mine like someone else said.

I wouldn't worry bout taking it out....Mines coming out when I get it so I can have the tach and speedo switched unless they do it on the factory cars time I can get one

I would keep it and make sure it is documented that it came from the factory that way.

Dud keep it as is there will not be many like this out there from the factory. It will be a build mess up and be a collectors item.
