More pics tomorrow....only got these phone pics for now. Gonna take it in and get some estimates on Monday. Do you have to have a dealership do the repairs to maintain your warranty??

I'm not saying it's covered under warranty. I just wanna know if you have to have a dealership fix it to maintain the warranty after it's repaired.

the story is this....stupidity got the best of me, slid sideways into a curb, and hit hard enough that the car was easily at a 45 degree angle to the ground.

stupid, stupid, stupid

Ouch........:(

If the dealer replaces stock parts with replacement OEM parts...they should still be covered under warranty. it may be more expensive than having a small shop do it...but they can come back to you and say "the shop installed them wrong, warranty denied!" Get a quote from a few places if you can...compare...

You really shouldn't be sliding around curbs.....

Ouch. That's not going to be cheap.

I would call that an insurance claim. Comprehensive or collision would cover that I would think if the bill gets to high.

Keep us posted.

You know...it sounds like your darn lucky not to have buckled the entire assembly...I didn't read the 45* part in the first post...wow!

I honestly don't understand how I hit with so much force....I started from a stop about 30 feet infront of the stop sign and as I was coming around the corner hit a little loose gravel on the pavement and the rearend started coming around really fast...tried my best to correct it but I'm far from a good exibition driver.

and the side that hit the curb was in the air, like it ramped off of it or something....after closer inspection I cracked the brand new curb too.
