When I bought my 2LT/RS back in Sept 2009, I put down $10k, and had about 6.5-6.7% APR. So in essence, yes, I am starting over. But with a much better interest rate, and only $100 more per month. Insurance is only $17 more per month for the V8 compared to the V6. And finally..... gas prices........ I DONT CARE!!! Thus why I want a 426hp V8 My personal philosophy about gas is that you are going to need to fill up anyways. So no use getting all worked up over prices. It is what it is. Out of my control. All I care about is enjoying my time behind the wheel!

Becky is great! She is the only reason why I returned to buy another Camaro after all the headaches with my current one. GM should do something for her.... because she is helping our little enthusiast community in ways they clearly cannot! BOO CORPORATE !! YAY BECKY!!!!

[QUOTE=Grandeos;3006518]Upon trade-in, I'm gonna owe about $15k on my 2LT/RS, so I should have about $6k carrying over to the new 2SS/RS. Plus another $5k cash as a down payment, and with 4.9% APR, I'll be paying around $500-520 a month. It would have been even cheaper, but keep in mind I'm rolling a lot of the cosmetic mods into the financing through the dealer.
When I bought my 2LT/RS back in Sept 2009, I put down $10k, and had about 6.5-6.7% APR. So in essence, yes, I am starting over. But with a much better interest rate, and only $100 more per month. ..you owe $10k + the price of a new SS w/ mods, to be financed @ 4.9% for x# of years..as long as you are happy |

No. The 2LT/RS was a 60-month loan. The 2SS/RS will be 72 months. I was more focused on lowering the monthly payments, as I am trying to buy a house soon, and need the extra cash each month.
But... GM has some great incentives now. If it works for your budget, 60-months can get 3.9% APR, versus the 4.9% for 72-months.

Congrats on the upgrade and I like the look.
So you paid $28k for the 2LT, you put down $10k and still owe $15k? You must've not had it very long. At least you'll have about $11k to take off the $43k but it's a shame you couldn't have privately sold it for more than the 21k you got. Did you shop around for the finance rate? 4.9% for six years seems high but perhaps not for 24yo. |

Not quite. $42k - $6k (payoff from $21k trade - $15k I owe) = $38k financed for 6 years @ 4.9% APR. Still a hefty loan, but much better interest than what I was paying on the 2LT/RS. The way I see it, life is too short to worry about the details. I have a good income, and its still climbing. I'm enjoying my time before it runs out.... cuz you never know!

Congrats on the order man. You will not regret the change to the SS. Becky D is the best. I'm waiting for my 2011 that I ordered from her last month. I also agree that Gerry is a responsive guy. He will be installing a Pedders drop kit on mine when it gets there (hopefully next wek).
