Ordered my 2011 2SS/RS yesterday! My Own Render! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello my fellow C5'ers!

For a while I have been struggling with issues on my 2010 2LT/RS. Although it was my first new car, I had more minor issues with it than any other car I have driven. Working at GM's Design Center, I had battles with customer service, talked with engineers and Quality Managers, and took it all the way to the top in the Executive Office. They were of no help, and left me with quite a grudge. But alas.... someone swooped in and helped restore my faith in the 5th Gen Camaro..... our own Becky D from Rodgers Chevrolet in Woodhaven, MI.

Not only has Becky and her Service Manager, Gerry, done everything they can to help me with my current car, but also pricing out the upgrade to an SS that has been in the back of my mind for a long time. Well, I am happy to say that as of yesterday afternoon, my new 2011 2SS/RS is officially on order!!

I decided to put my resources to use and configure what my new Camaro is going to look like. Rather than use the crappy (IMHO) online configurator, I built my order using the actual Camaro data in a realtime rendering software, to see what it will really look like when I take delivery.......

2011 Camaro 2SS/RS (LS3)
Silver Ice Metallic w/ Black Leather Interior
- Hurst Factory Short-Shifter
- 21" Black Painted GM Accessory Wheels (Installed at Dealer)
- Gloss Black Rally Stripes (Installed at Dealer)
- Switchblade Silver Interior Trim Kit (Installed at Dealer)
- Blacked-out Bowties (Installed at Dealer)
- Headlight Armor Stealth Smoke Taillamp and Side Marker Covers (Installed at Dealer)

And now for the 3-4 week wait...... the longest 3-4 weeks of my life!

Well........ I originally purchased the 2LT/RS at about $28k. So I'm gonna eat about $7k in depreciation.

With all the mods I'm having done at the dealership, the total is gonna be around $41-42k for the 2SS/RS.

However, I am getting a MUCH BETTER interest rate for the 2SS, where even with the higher price, I'll only be paying about $100 more per month than the 2LT/RS. So to me, this was a no-brainer. I'm young (24) and I can afford it, so I'm enjoying it while I can!

Oh, and I'm going from Automatic to a Manual transmission in the 2SS. It will be my first!!! I absolutely fell in love with the feeling when I went for the test drive... So I'm gonna force myself to learn as this is my only vehicle!

Wow I'm 24 as well, and I did the exact same thing! Got a way better interest rate as well, and it's 100 more a month for me too. I wouldn't look back! Best decision I ever made. You are going to have a blast with your new baby! Congratulations brother! When is expected delivery?

curious, was it paid off in full, or did you still owe on it(meaning you're 'upside down' now on your trade...)? It would suck to start all over again from scratch..plus gotta look @ tax&title, insurance rates, gas $, etc..
