I just looked and their 2016 camaro mufflers have a dual mode function on them but this 817609 system does not.

My apologies everyone, after reading over the installation instructions I see that when the OEM rear mufflers are removed the actuators go with them and the vacuum lines are plugged. This system does not allow for the dual-mode function like the stock system does.

Wheeewww, lol... Thanks Jason, didn't think I was losing my just yet, that is why I purchased this kit, it would work on my car and didn't have the dual mode. Thanks for clearing that up for us.. As always, a great product with awesome sound and character !!!

So what about the AT Muffler being a Custom Outlaw surrounded by the Box? (Talking about AT System bought back in 2011?) Is that correct like stated earlier? Just wondering if it worth changing it out to the Bullet Style Outlaw if it not going to change the Pitch that much? Or will it? Thx.
Great system Flowmaster. Been holding up great since the install here in summer of 2011

I believe that your Flowmaster American Thunder System utilizes a pair of Super 40 mufflers. If you can find a part number off of the end caps I can get you a definite answer. Either way, there is a noticeable difference between the Super 40 muffler and the Outlaw muffler. By replacing your current mufflers with a set of Outlaw Race Mufflers you will most definitely increase the exhaust note and tone both in and out of the vehicle. If you can get the part number off of the item then give us a call at 707-544-4761.

The part# should look something like this and can be 5 to 9 digits in length.

I just went and looked at the back side of my outlaw mufflers, quad catback and between the 2 tubes coming out there is a number-409 S,,, not sure it that is anything but my Camaro is so low I couldn't get under it to look at the front side of the mufflers.

On some exhaust systems, it can be very difficult to see, especially on a lowered vehicle. If you're ever unsure take some measurements and we can usually figure out what is what with a simple call into our Support Team.
