The saying pride goes before a fall is absolutely true. I was runnin west on I-10 back to my home town, rockin out with one eye on the radar until that little devil of a cell phone distracted me. I look up from my text and i see the passport with full bars, didnt hear it because of a certain Kansas song that i like to drive to, and i see lights flashing from the oncoming median. Less than 4 minutes later, i have an old man telling me to have a good night and a $161 ticket in my lap ($98 base and $5 bucks for every mile over). Defensive Driving here i come.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, your cruze control is your best friend!!!! I got one last fall, 74 in a 55 zone. It was my wake-up call.

Maybe thats a sign you need to slow down a little, or a lot depending on your speed.

To the OP, Glad you didn't get upset with the Officer for stopping you. many on here would have went off on him for doing his job...

PS This just proves if you rely on them Radar detectors too much it will bite you in the rear someday...

dont worry i had last year
for speeding, no front license plate and for not wearing my eye glass.
this was a $566.00 ticket.

but having a blast in my CAMARO.........PRICELESS.......

I was angry, i just never had the opportunity to say anything, he was too busy looking for other things to bust me on. checked front license plate and asked me if i had contacts in and even asked me what year my car was. I was doing 79 in a 65, Isnt 98 freaking bucks a little much for the base speeding ticket? i mean if your were going 2 over, youd have a 108 dollar ticket..
