Open garage door sometime in early November before the first state truck sighting, insert Camaro, don't remove until state truck hibernation and a few good rain showers. Thus no salt problem.

Oil would be bad, that would be a glue to hold onto everything including salt.

Haha..

So you think the oil spray that tons of people get is worse than not having anything?

What is the product you are talking about? You just said oil in your first post. That really could mean a lot of different things.

Drive it.

I live in Nevada where the roads are SALT. Have driven mine in complete storms. Car looked like a salt lick. washed it 4 times in 2 months. The car comes with a rust free warranty. No need to hide a beautiful car like this. Drive the crap out of it! Wash it.

The oil spray treatment goes back to the early days of the automobile.
After spraying the whole undercarriage down with heavy oil
owners would take the car out on
a dirt road or field and mix all the dust with the oil as a form of rust proofing.

Undercoating was born of the same principle, heavy almost tar like...

That doesn't sound to appealing. I remember the Zbart days. My dad always believed that it made cars rust quicker. He would never get it when he bought a new car. I think doing your best to keep it clean is the best thing you can do if you must drive it in the winter.

Lol...I had an argument with my sales manager the day I signed the paper work for my car about a product my dealer uses called Resistall...complete garabage and they charge $800 for it, good for 5 plus years! Lol. He wouldn't give up either until I had to get a little loud, then he stopped...insisted on awesome paint protection! Yeah sure.
