my car has some very light conservative mods done to it. upper pulley, id850's, and d3 reservoir, & C.C. The first hacker who tried to tune my car told me Fuel pressure was an issue, second tuner had no issues with it. But it shines some light on the importance of fuel pressure. what are good ranges for pressure?.

There, you go. You do not need it, you just want to see it.

In my opinion when you get mods done you may want to watch the fuel pressure just to make sure you have enough fuel pump capacity. Really the tuner should watch this when they dyno test the car. If you know you have enough fuel pressure then you don't need to watch it all the time. The OP with an upper pulley on a ZL1 pump should be fine.

The most variable stats are IAT2 and timing adjustment. If you run this engine hard and keep it in boost the supercharger makes a lot of heat and the engine starts to adjust timing based on IAT2. Most people have no idea their car is reducing power by adjusting timing because you can't monitor timing adjustment in the stock car. Once you have IAT2 and can see how much power the car reduces in racing environments related to intake heat, then you get serious about supercharger cooling. Some call it heat soak but that is really a misnomer, heat soak implies the engine heat is rising up into the intake, that is not the case most of the time, the problem is when the supercharger bypass closes and the car starts cranking out boost the entire supercharger gets really hot....really hot if you keep making boost like in road racing situations.

I bought the palmer product but my car has not been running since I got. It looks like it will take a little time to get the initial set-up done and I won't be able to use my OSB port to data log if the palmer device is in the OSB port. If I'm ever out and don't need to data log it seems to be the best thing ever invented to access what is going on in your car.

If you just want to know when you are in boost then put a cai on and you can hear it very nicely inside the car.

That's what I meant in the beginning. Nothing wrong with see any value, you were the one saying you needed it. Thats what we were all getting at. Remember you ASKED us why the boost was not on the HUD. That answer was it's not needed.
Iat2 is good to know if you want to use ice in a tank.
I ordered 2 Dashlogic. They look to be the best deal to get info. The Z28 only shows oil pressure in bar.

I think that Dash Logic is a real cool item and worth it! If it works like they say.
They asked me to become a distributer. I may do that. Should get mine in a few days.

Will the dash logic work with the 14's colored HUD? I wonder if the programming changed at all from the 13's.

The web site says 2010 to 2014 so I suspect it will work. You can always send them an e-mail and ask.

Emvici, I agree with your original post. The location of the gauge cluster that in our cars now contains the Boost Guage is not practical.
I'm sure though that GM knew darn well that was true when it was decided upon to place the cluster there, since as with many aspects of the Gen5 Camaro, that gauge cluster was another of many 1969 design queues. It was put there to bring us back to that year as the epitome of the then muscle car era, and to give respect to the 1969 model year of the Camaro.

It isn't practical, but I would not have wanted it any other way as far as physical location. Being old, a big part of what I absolutely love about the 5th Gen ZL1 is how it brings back my memories of the 1969 car, when there was no way that I could buy one then as a 12 year old kid. If one day the reading is included in the HUD, wonderful. If not, I'm so good with that.

mine shipped today from dashlogic, with priority shipping so I should have it soon. I will post the results. yeah, skylane, it was just a figure of speech with the need/want, don't get all serious on me with words K, I would really like to have it that's all. Hopefully there are no issues with this dashlogic working in the 2014 model year, but we will know soon enough. ZedL1, thank you for that's info on the 69 model year design, hearing that info, actually makes me strongly agree with you, and the placement design of it.

Emvici, You will love the Dashlogic Display controller! You may want to order this from Amazon as I kept kicking the unit getting in and out of the car.
