+1 for the too much money crew. At that price range you can easily find examples with half the mileage including very clean cars.

Yea that's kind of high. I would shop around. Its not that the car isn't any good, but with high miles there is a higher chance of maintenance and/or mechanical issues.

Many ZLs tend to have lower miles, but of course there are exceptions. You should be able to find a very good, low mileage example and for probably not much more than the asking price of the car in this link.

Op is unclear if he has 2 or 1 question. Yes high mileage ZL1's are ok to buy. I have not heard of reliability issues with them other than the electric power steering likely related to bad grounds. That's something you can preventatively check and repair to avoid that failure. Also the defective supercharger coupler in the earlier ZL1s (before 2014?). That is also something to replace before it ruins your supercharger bearing.
I haven't heard of common valvetrain or transmission problems in them.
Implied question #2, no that car is overpriced. ZL1 original purchasers didn't daily drive them so there are many available at very low mileage for not much a price premium. You rarely see a SS or V6 for sale with under 20k mi but at least >25% of the ZL1s we see for sale have that low mi.

I would say keep looking. I agree I think that is a little high for the miles and year.
I just got mine with 27k miles and it is a 2015 and I got it for a few more grand then what they are asking for that one. I think there is definitely better options out there for you.

You are absolutely correct. Initially, when I saw the thread title, I thought he was asking (generally speaking) if it is ok to buy a high mileage ZL1.

Then when I saw he provided a link to a specific car, I addressed that vehicle only.

The car looks clean, but at that price for the year and mileage isn't a good deal.

I purchased my 2013 ZL1 for nearly that price 2 years ago with only 29k miles.

Do also realize you may be able to get it for 28 or 29. Probably stating the obvious, but 28 sounds better than 32.

thanks for the replies guys. I just posted this car as the example because its in town and I was wondering mainly about the hi miles. Seems like these cars are bullet proof but that's a lot of miles. If I could get something like this for much cheaper I figured it would be an option rather than complete disregard the option of purchasing a hi mile ZL1.

It is high miles. And although the drivetrain (and really the engine) are "bulletproof" to a point, you have no idea how this vehicle was maintained, driven or abused. I would expect a well maintained 5th gen Z to run 150-200k miles if not raced, modded or driven hard. I would expect this Z to sell in the low $20's.
