I went to Atco last night...

(and yeah, I know, I need to get a life)

The Drag Times DA was +825 and went down to +500 by 8:30 PM.

It was a beautiful day, so Atco was jammed. However as I arrived the street lanes just ran so I was near the front for the next run. I spotted a bad kitty Charger at the front, so I asked the guy with the 392 Challenger next to him if I could jump him and run the Hellcat. He said he didn't want to be up front anyway so yeah. Why not? So I went up to meet the Dodge owner. His name was Rick and his only mod was 20" DRs. He said he has run as fast as 11.0 with the Dodge. We struck up a good conversation about cars and it turned out we owned some of the same cars. We both remeber the Lincoln VII LSC fondly. Also he missed his LSA CTS/V that ran 10.50s. He likes the Dodge but he can't say so far if he likes it better than the V.

Anyway after talking to him I realized that to beat him I would have to leave a little early.

So we finally ran but my plan went awry. My RT was crappy .182 AND I spun the tires. A guy did warn me about the left lane. He was right. I ran a 11.774@122.79 to his 11.230@129.95. It was not close at all. So we lined up front again. An hour an a half later we got to run again. The left lane saw some prep and lots of slicks so it was better. This time my RT was -.143 (yea that's a red light, but I am spotting him DRs) And my 1.868 60' was not horrible. I thought I had him and I did. But not in the way I wanted. He snapped an axle! I heard this was a big problem for the bad kittys. Luckily with the GM bog the ZL1 is nice to its drive train. He did have agood light .086 so the run would have been close, probably fender to fender. I ran 11.537@124.35 to his DNF. My first Hellcat kill with the ZL1. But I wish it did not happen this way. Rick is a nice guy. I left after that race.

Good to finally see the new car in person. She’s a beauty. I left after the Honda blew its motor in the left lane. I still got 3 decent runs in. The left lane was scetchy. I got mid 1.3s in the right. The only pass I made in the left was a 1.43 sixty. Fantastic night to be at the track though.

Yea that was a long clean up. Nice to see you got your Rustang sorted and it's kicking butt!

Yea its nice to finally get the old girl ironed out. They have some nice photos of her on the atco web pullin wheelies. Still think I'm going to sell it so I can get a GT500. When they come out. We can line up the zl1 and the GT500. On street tires that would be fun.

Best sorry that hellcat was not stock. They do not run 129 in that weather no way. He’s got little more something something he is telling you lol.

In 0 DA I watched one go 127-128 all night. Ran a Best of 10.88. Stock hellcat a8 on a tire. And that’s the fastest stock one I’ve seen. Plenty of others at 124-125 range

They don’t trap 130 stock in 500-1000. He’s got a tune at minimum

I went to Atco last night....

The DA was around +1500 going down a little. Super crowded.

Not much interesting from me, spinning, 11.6-11.7s. No 11.5 last night! Tried to get a stock Hellcat match up, but no luck. But successfully avoided a 10.3 Naughty Kitty Charger. Another Demon was there running mid 11s. I could not get a match up there either. Catch those Demon owners early is my motto.

Although I had some interesting and fun conversations in the staging lanes. Especially with some guys running 5th gen M6 Camaros.

Pat was there. He was so excited I printed two sheet of Atco info labels he could just stick on at tech. We both need to get a life.

However someone else had a big night. We may hear from him later.
