Do You Think The Upcoming Refresh Will Affect 2016-2018 Used Car Values ?

While the 2019 Camaro refresh could be described as questionable at best, looks are subjective and there are a few positive changes coming in the fall on the refreshed model. Do you think that the refreshed Camaro will affect the values of the current car, and if so how ?

All midcycle refreshes affect the value, however in most cases it's negligible .....the simple fact is these cars drop like a rock no matter whether there's a refresh or not.....

Since it seems overall people don't like the refresh, it won't hurt as much as it could have.

private party resale might not be as bad but dont expect the 16-18 to skyrocket or anything. These cars like someone already said drop like a rock no matter what.

I think the mixed enthusiast opinions on the refresh will not have widespread effect on the normal deappreciation.

Look at values with the Gen 5 refresh to see if there's anything to it. I don't believe the refresh will make a noticeable difference in depreciation values.

Only affect will be the '19 will make the '16-'18 one year older than before....A change on the front fascia and other minor details on the '19 are not enough to make a difference on normal year to year depreciation and used car/trade-in prices...

The '19 is still a 6thGen Camaro and 99% basically still the same car as the '16-'18....

just my $.02....

Resale value as a whole for the Camaro suck anyway, no sense and worrying about resale value especially when GM offers 20% off on a new Camaro.

If there is not a price decrease on the 19's I doubt it will have much of an affect on used Camaro values...

If you don't like the 2019, there are almost 17,000 2017's & 2018's sitting on dealer lots across the US.

Heck there are 136 BRAND NEW 2016's still on dealer lots.

2017 - 3,936
2018 - 12,652

Per Cars.com

2016 Convertible SS $47,690 (savings $6,945 off the MSRP $54,635).

Mustangs also wont hold their value. If you want somethjng hold value in long term. Look up Tacoma and Jeep Wrangler, their resale value is crazy good.

May not help with resale...but may help move the remaining 17 and 18's.
