Don't want to harp Bud, but you should throw out the laundry just once so you know what to expect if and when you need it. Just saying. I use to hold a 7.50 NRHA Dragster licence and it is part of the licence procedure. It's not that big of a deal, but is sure slows you down fast if you need it.

Of Course, that's Glen at the beginning being a funny guy..."maybe you should record this." I already had to stop the video once due to comments...

Thanks for posting Doug, This will help us in the evaluation of what happened when... but it was apparently when I was behind the building when it happened.... The sound is certainly different when I come out from behind and the car is nosing over....

That is awesome. One for YOUR books...

No, you didn't get the record, but you participated, had a safe run (it could have been WAAAAAAAAAAAAY worse with pops and coolant under the rear tire..) So overall a success.

You ran 197 which is nothing to sneeze at and now you can break 200 and set the record next time out. Happiness is something to look forward to.

We ran at LOTO 3 years with the boats before we broke 200, and kept upping the number each year. You can do the same. Each time you can do it just a little faster and a little better.

I predict MANY 200+ runs for you...

You do us all at Camaro5 proud !!

Not sure if you remember me, but I'm a long time member here on C5.

I've only been able to post a handful of times in the last few months...just been so freaking busy. I needed to catch up, so I started by spending the last hour in here. All I can say is wow.

You're even dumber than I thought!

Seriously though...absolutely insane man. Congrats on a crazy fast run.

Thanks B. That means a lot coming from you, and it is in perspective... I had a little bit of disappointment but I'm over it and have plans already... The new heads are being ported as we speak... And we'll have her back to street dress by the time I get home... Corey and I are looking at a six bolt ERL Turbo extreme rotating assembly.... She'll be back and better than ever. I'll also have appropriate wheels and tires for the next run.... To get going 197.8 on the factory tires and wheels was a challenge...

It isn't harping when it comes from someone that knows...
my next time out, I'll finish the license process and in there throw the laundry out just to determine how big a ooooffffff it'll be on the body... Looking at my front calipers which are many shades of purple and pink hues, I'm going to plan on tossing it out on any 200 plus run. We'll take the rotors off and turn them prior to any more driving... Make sure they are true and get back to clean metal....uhmmm yeah, they are a bit glazed right now...

Russ, of course I remember you and have missed you being around... I know with the 5 release you were going to be in nutsville, so... It is what it is.... For the most part you guys can have that short track stuff... I'm hooked, big time.... Do you know what you see if you look sideways out the window at 200 mph.... A freaking blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........

A really really fast blur.... I'll still go to the short track for fun, but I'm making my plans for going super fast... I won't be anywhere near the quickest, but I'll run most anyone in the long line....not side by side of course... But for speed slips... Fun begins at the half mile and 170 mph....and builds from there...

Sorry we missed the mile this weekend but Nathans football and saturday morning activities have taken priority this fall. (two more weeks) I did follow the post from the mile which helped to keep up with your progress.

I have gone to the mile a number of times as a spectator and have always come away saying" I have got to do that". Well, you my friend can you have done that and I must say you were impressive for your first time out. I know you were disappointed with not reaching your goal but you can take comfort in knowing that you were standing at the doorstep of 200MPH. Many people have attempted this for years and not gotten close to what you achieved in TWO Passes!

Can't wait for the next mile and hopefully your schedule will line up so you can crush that record and I can watch.

Did you like the gearing during the runs?

Watched the vid again, you can see something blow out the back between the 2nd and 3rd hay bales
