No idea if they're much good, but if you just want a beater then this is cheap as chips:

The PSA uppers are GTG. If one uses quality parts and has even minimal skills...pretty tough to screw up an AR assembly. All the "building" is done for You...all one does is assemble.

I think we are going to see some epic AR blow outs this coming week

Already starting on the Midway site...running all week.

Consumers are NOT buying like they were during the Obama administration. So the amount of stocked items now is at an all time high. Some good times ahead for shooters.

A big ammo seller commented their profits this year are around 5% net, not much to discount.

Been catching sale prices that seem to be decent (7.62x39 Red Army, $4.49/20 . . . 12ga 1-1/8 oz of #8 target Federal, $60/250 . . . .223 Federal American Eagle, $300/1000 after rebate).

And the gun safe is beginning to get a little crowded. Four new long guns in the last month or so.

This one's mine. Was shooting high and left out of the box. I think I've got the windage corrected close enough but it's still shooting a little high.

My son bought a 590 Shockwave, which lives in my gun safe for the time being. Recoil isn't nearly as bad as might be expected from a very small and lightweight 12ga.

A couple of Henrys came home with me only yesterday. Hint before pictures . . . there's definitely a year-end holiday flavor about one of them ("assembly required").

Happy Thanksgiving.

ARG! DO NOT BUY AN AK FROM CENTURY ARMS!!! the bolt and bolt carrier failed mid year so I sent it to Century Arms, they returned it with a new bolt and carrier. Took the rifle out twice since then put 400 rounds or so through it.

Tore it down today for cleaning in preparation to go shooting and noticed the bolt and carrier are showing signs a fatigue again! WTF? What would you guys suggest? Get a new AK from a different company or purchase a bolt and carrier from an after market company?

I sent an email to Century telling them of my disappointment and I'll not buy another Century product again. So frustrating!!

Don't throw the baby out with the bath water..... If the shipping isn't killing you, send it back. Again. You might check AK fansites and youtube for fixes.

Had that happen a few times, sometimes on purpose.

My buddy bought a AR from Century Arms years ago, the upper/lower (dont remember which) cracked without very many rounds through it. I do not own anything from Century Arms.
All the best getting your rifle fixed.

Century Arms is KNOWN for garbage builds. I visited their "factory" up in Vermont many years back, in the early 1980's. What a JOKE. The employees looked like they simply went to the homeless shelter and trucked them over. I was watching them Taking down and cleaning up K-98 Mauser's. With NO concern over getting the proper bolt BACK with it's original action, etc. Frightening.

Unless You want to play craps with your money...stay away from CAI.

I'm thinking it may be easier to order a bolt carrier and bolt from Atlantic Fireamrs. If I can get a nice set I may make this rifle last at least to 5000. I know Arsenal and I.O. make AK's, but anyone know a quality manufacture?

Arsenal WAS the Gold Standard ten yrs back when I was into AK's. There were a few good, small builders too. I think my 74 is from Gun Werkes?? Been awhile, forget the name. Sold all the 47's, years back.

I'd look at Arsenal.

What did You score on Black Friday?

Bought some CZ parts. New rear for my PCR, and some small parts, pins, springs, etc.

Bought two sets of vZ grips, for the PCR and my PO1, 25% off.

Bought 2K of .17 HMR from a local shop...$89 per 500. BEST I have seen on seventeens....EVER. My local gophers have no idea the death and destruction 2018 is going to bring!

Bought a new belt and a few bags from SOE. Also -25%.

For the 1SS a set of new front floor mats from LLOYDS.

I'm pricing them. I'll have to get rid of this junk and spend the money for a quality firearm. I checked reviews and YouTube plus various gun mag reviews on the Century before I got it. Thought they turned their quality control around but I guess not.
