Not sure about that. HDRS did a 1.961 60' on the stock Pirelli's all motor. He used my Nitto DRs and went 1.940. Same day I did a 1.980 on GoodYear Street tires.

Our ET was 3k of a second apart on our best run that day.

Yeah, sometime you trade spin for bog. It can be hard to get the right combo of tires and TM to get a good launch.

Im going to run the stock 20s and a lighter 18 inch wheel set up once I find one that I like. With the 18s Ill mount radials

And mods are going on tomorrow, Im gonna post them after I get a dyno done in 2-3 weeks. Should be pretty interesting.

I should have added that it is possible with a good driver. my main problem is the weight of the 20s is a lot when we can fit 18s no problem.

Please let us know what you decide on for the wheel tire combo, I have been researching this for a few months now, but I don't feel like investing close to a grand for the wheels and drag radials so that I can go 0.1 faster in the 1/4 mile twice a year on my daily driver. I have other mods I would put that money into. Going to the drag strip for me is just a fun time to do some legal racing. Not necessarily own any titles.

And as for the MODS.......... Watching and waiting with interest.

What kind of rim/tire package are you finding for 1g? U also have to remember if you can get a lower overall diameter, it would be like getting better gears.

At 21 man Im definitely on a budget so Im going for the cheapest combo I can LOL. My friend has a set of radials just sitting in his garage that he said I can use so I may take advantage of that.
If I can pull a sub 2.0' then Ill just run pirellis on the 18 inch set Im going to get. For now the 20s will have to do.

This is going to sound pretty crazy, but as of today Ill only have around $650 in performance parts and I plan to run a 13.6/13.7. I also went a bit high end in that $650, it could be done theoretically for about $300.

And yeah for me its just a hobby but I do take my hobbies seriously so if I can break some records in the process thats cool and if not I had run regardless. I need another set of rims anywhere for winter up here in NY so if I can get radials for cheap or something I might as well put them on the second set.

I am just doing some rough estimating that wheels will run around 250 a piece and drag radials are also aprrox. 250 a piece. so add that up it's about a grand for the rear wheel tire combo alone.

About right. I paid $946 for a set mounted and balanced shipped to my door.

rtcat your car is auto correct? and those are 19s or 20s?

Btw after today I can tell you that the stock fuel map seems to be kind of conservative, not much backfire at all. The car runs lean.

Really. I thought people had found that it ran rich.......

Auto and 19's

Are you using a dyno to verify the numbers when playing with the fuel mixture............becasue the GREAT one (SCRMNG) found thru his research and PLENTY of dyno time that this engine like to run rich, and hot but likes to ingeste cold air. It does not react like any other engine that has been played with.

Be careful.
