My car has the same noises.
The question to me is it a problem long term? |

Have you changed the diff fluid with the recommended GM synthetic? I wouldn't want to drive it long term that way if a simple fluid change with the proper fluid is all that is required to fix it. I purchased the GM fluid and had a quick lube place change it on my car around 1000 miles.

Very common problem discussed on the Corvette forum. I thought the fix over there was changing out the fluid using Royal Purple (Preferred).

Had service appt today they followed TSB issued about a month ago involving fluid flush and figure 8 driving. Don't hear noise now but will check when cold to make sure it is fixed.
When I left dealer I drove about 2 miles to a store. When I went to restart the car It was running very rough.Dic said reduced power and 3 lights on plus check engine light.I turned off and restarted 3 times to no avail.I live about 75 miles away from the dealer so luckily I was close when it happened.I limped back to the dealer... car would barely pull itself. The tech said the code was 06 dont remember the rest.He reflashed the ecm with update reguarding fuel regulator I think.Drove home so far so good. |

Sorry, they not give me that info.
Service tech drained an refilled twice with figure 8's and 20 mile rides inbetween.Asked him if he added anything to the fluid and he said no but fluid smelled to him like friction modifier was already in it. |
