$40? Where did you get your pricing? After-market CAIs are at least $300. GMPP CAI would likely be at least that bbut likely more $$.

sorry dude, I was not getting excited. Just wondering where the price came from. $327 is a very nice price for a GMPP CAI. That's what I will get.

Before ordering from gmpartsdirect, check to see what shipping is going to cost. Shipping for that CAI is $68.80... you're really looking at $396.
gmpartsdirect always screws you on the shipping cost!! |

You can also use the gmpartsdirect price (including shipping) to try to get your dealer to discount the price. My guess is that most will match it.

Man that is a nice looking CAI and made to should fit and look nice in our Cars unlike some after-market ones I have been reading about. The only question now if performance but I will buy it just for the fit and finish alone.

Whats the deal?
Anybody know why GM has not delivered this CAI part yet. What couldbe the delay? I may be wrong but isn't this a relatively easy upgrade/change?
What exactly could be the major drawbacks from using a CAI instead of the factory enclosed air take system? Someone shead some light hear for everyone. Is it that they won;t be able to compete with the likes of ADM or Roto-Fab? |

Looks like a shiney replacement for the stock box. Don't see how it could give any performance gains. If you're just wanting a cosmetically better looking CAI, then this is your ticket. If you're wanting some performance gains, get one of the others.

I have heard that GM has gone back and is redesigning the unit because of these very concerns. That is why it is taking longer. I don't know this for fact, but have seen it posted as such.
