DON"T buy a cheap timing chain kit!!!!! You get what you pay for when it comes to these items. They take a real beating and need to be quality. You pay now or you pay later. Hope this helps.

Umderstood , but wanted to check if anyone has bought one and used it for quite a few miles . Or did they just buy it to get the vehicle running to sell the vehicle quickly ?

how much are the cheap kits? I used https://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-12651450-Engine-Timing-Set/371631235201?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.S EED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D35dd4 ddfebfd4df6a3cbefd19b161184%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D 1%26rkt%3D8%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D371631235201%26itm %3D371631235201&_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042

which is the original ac delco chain kit. When I bought it though, it was only $130..price has jumped. I have put 70-80k miles on car since the chains were put in by a neighborhood mechanic and no problems at all. My car just hit 200K miles.

I dont know why my earlier link went to amazon. I cant comment on the one you listed but it is such an important component of the engine I would get the real deal...the link I just posted is the proper kit I used and its only 50 more bucks..small price difference for the peace of mind imho.

That is something you do not want to buy to save money on. The job is labor intensive.
