The Z/28 suspension instructions did not mention raising the engine. So I tried, and I was easily able to take it off, even though my engine was sitting .25" lower due to BMR engine mounts.

Yeah but the difference may be in the fact OP has a 2010 with the old hydraulic steering. You have a 14 with an electronic steering. The clearance issues for me were the steel lines for the steering rack. I've not seen the newer cars with electronic steering, so I may be way off.

It's a little tricky, comes out passenger side. Second set of hands helps.

I put Pfadt ways on my 2010. Rear removal and install was no problem. Struggled to get the front sway out without damaging lines, etc. Sawzall fixed the problem in a hurry. New front Pfadt sway went in without issues since it didn't have as many bends as the stocker. Didn't have to move the engine. Hopefully this helps.

Comes out with no problem. Just put car on ramps or stands, remove rims. Remove bar mounts slide out passenger side till drivers side end is thru and below drivers side frame, than lower it and twist out from drivers side. If you need more room you can loosen power steering. If that makes sense.

I am gonna claim it's not possible to change the front sway bar on a 2013 SS with electric steering without raising the motor a little. I tried and I was beating all the new red powder coating trying it. Gave up and raised the motor about 1-2" and bam it was in. It takes 60 seconds to loosen the bolts , better than 15 minutes of cussing.
