Question WIDENING THE STOCK WHEELS

Does anyone know some place in Central Texas where I can get my OEM wheels widened? If there's nobody around here who can do it, can someone recommend a shop in the DFW area? Any input is very much appreciated.

Thanks. I just talked to Andy up there, and he says $650 to widen them. If nobody knows of a better option, I think that's what I'll end up doing.

It looks like Wheels America in Dallas is going to be the best bet. They want $250 a wheel, and since they're a few hours away, I can deliver them and pick them up without any shipping charges.

Are you having the fronts or rears widened (I've heard of some peeps having fronts widened and running their 9" rears on the front and the widened 8" on the rear).

How wide are you going, and what tires are you planning to run? I'm interested in seeing how this works out...

I'm leaving the 20x8 fronts as they are, and I'm going to run 245/45-20 Nitto INVOs. I'm taking the 20x9 rears and widening them to 10.5 inches, so I can run 315/35-20 Invos on the back. No spacers should be needed, and I'll post up pics when I have it done.

You should put the 20x9's on the front and widen the 20x8's to 20 by 11 and run 315/35/20's. Plenty of guys on here doing it and it looks amazing.

I have the ADM package and they move the rears to the fronts and widen the fronts. You do need spacers to push the rears out a little.

That being said, if I was you, I'd pick up a second set of rears and have them widened and then you can move the rears to the fronts and put your widened rears on the back. 245's up front is just too small for a car this heavy IMO ..

Even from the front view, I think the drop and wider wheels/tires make the overall car look better.

Now my thoughts ... it is a cheap way to get wide wheels and the wheels I got from ADM were in worse shape (roadrash) than my stock wheels .. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on wheels at the time and there is a lot of construction in my area so a lot of road debris. I may step up to some other wheels in the future. All in all, I'm happy for the price that was paid..

Thanks for the pics. I think it looks good. I just don't like the idea of having to run spacers.

They cut the wheel and then weld in another piece. The place that ADM Performance uses has done this for quite some time and has cars that run very high speeds in the Mile without issues.

I have not had any issues with my wheel / spacer combo. I am looking to get new wheels down the road though that don't require a spacer ..
