Rear Blackout Opinion

Hey Folks,

I'm thinking about getting the rear lid vinyl blackout but am having a tough time deciding whether to get flat black or Charcoal Metallic.

As you can see from my pics, I have a front facia blackout in flat black but my stripes are Charcoal Metallic (from Auto Trim Design).

What do you fellow C5'ers think?

I vote flat black. My stripes are gloss and I have a magnetic flat black decklid blackout that I swap out from time to time. It doesn't half look bad against my wrap around spoiler stripes. Here's a cheap option to help you grasp a better visual, find some flat black tape and simply tape up the area between the taillights. Step back and decide. Once you're done, peel the tape off. Don't leave it on there too long though Let us know what you go with, and post pics! Good luck.

I say whatever you have up front, get in the rear. I'm on the fence myself. I want the rear backout for the bumper fascia but I don't have anything up front, not big deal there but my stripes are gloss black. Not a high gloss but gloss and I want my bumper kit to be the same. I can't find a 'semi' gloss kit anywhere.

Flat black. I think it's cool you're trying to make your car look like a racoon.
