It is great to see so many of you coming out to the AC. If you haven't done this before, you are going to have more fun than you can imagine. If you have done this before we are working very hard to exceed your expectations.

Tech will be straight forward. No leaks allowed. No loose stuff under the hood or trunk. Air and Lincoln's head for the tires. Tighten your lug nuts before you arrive. Your car must be absolutely empty to run the course. Remove your driver's side floor mat. Check your brake pads to be certain your have more than 50% of your pads left.

We won't be jacking up your cars, pulling wheels or anything like that for tech inspection. We expect you to do that before you come to the FEST. Along that line, check all your fluids to be sure they are fresh and full.

Strap on your helmet, buckle up and ENJOY!

One question for those of us that don't know, what is the 50% min pad thickness? Or at least an close measurement we can use. I've done a little bit of research, but have not found the "new" thickness. Thanks.

The Brembo pads I saw at the dealer were roughly 1/4 inch thick. So.... an 1/8 at least? Sound right Pete?

Uhm.... too thin. I went to the Hawk website to get specs.

http://www.hawkperformance.com/parts/

Disc Brake Pad; HP Plus w/0.585 Thickness

I don't have a fresh Camaro brake pad handy or I would post pictures. Perhaps one of the members in the thread has a set ready to go on they could take pictures of and measurements? If not I'll get them next week.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do y'all allow drivers new to auto x to participate? What does it mean that drivers must work corners? Sorry I'm new to this and trying to figure out if I want to buy a drivers pass!

Absolutely!!

Driver's working corners: During your session you'll get 4 or so runs. So you run, work a corner (safety, reset cones), run, help at tech, run, timing, etc etc.

We have some folks that have graciously volunteered to help with this, but the more help we get the smoother it goes. That's what it means.
