Bad Tune ???

Mods in sig. I am having a couple issues with my car since putting in gears and stall. When I go WOT at say 30-40 the car will down shift and then seems to down shift again and hit the rev limiter so hard it cuts power to the car. Also sometimes it will hold a lower gear and won't shift unless I slow way down or floor it long enough that it shifts. At 55-60 will be holding 3500 RPM. I have a video of the gear hold and will try to post it. Any ideas or have you experienced this??

I've tried to talk to the guy who tuned it but he will not work with me and told me if I am not happy with the tune to bring the car in and he will put the old tune back in and give me my money back. I'm so bummed right now!!!

As mentioned above, GO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!! And get a different tune, it should not do any of that!! If he does put the stock tune back on there you will be alright driving the car with the stall in there, I did mine until I could get it re-tuned, you just can't romp on it of run it at WOT, it will not shift. Normal driving it will shift alright, mine did. What it sounds like is that he DIDN'T even tune the trans and and converter to me. Sounds just like what my tuner said would happen if I tried to run it hard BEFORE it was re-tuned.. Good luck my friend....

Sounds like your shift points need adjusted. Dynosteve tuned mine when I did gears he told me I shouldn't drive it until the tune was loaded.

Get a new tune.Also don’t run it hard until engine and tranny temp stabilizes.
Mine will do some of what you are talking about if I Don’t let the trans and engine come up to the correct Temp level.
Tuners usually set it up to shift right at the redline.When you run it hard when cold it will bounce off the limiter when running thru the gears or when you punch it and it downshifts when cold.

Mine shifts perfectly fine, and the same whether she is warm or cold, normal throttle shifting, spirited or WOT, does not bounce off the limiter at all. Set to shift at 7200 and limiter set to 7400..

I know you would the tunes and help you have given me have been awesome Steve. I am just trying to find the right guy around here because I am getting a cam installed soon and want the local support. Thanks all I appreciate the support and help. This is so frustrating!! This all started with the gear install. I am actually starting to think there is more to it. Maybe a faulty transmission? Hard to believe with only 16k but not impossible. Even with the first tune it would slip when I first took off no matter how long I let it warm up. Not taking off fast either. I am having the super star tuner pull his tune and hoping the new guy can hit it out of the park!!! At least the new guy said he will work with me till I'm happy!!!. Sorry about the long winded post just want my dang car to run like it should!!!

So here's where I'm at. Got my money back and had the first tuner pull his tune out. Brought it to the new tuner and we will see what he can do. First impressions with the new guy is good. Seems to know his stuff. We will see stay tuned!!!

Awesome brother man!! Hope he does ya right because my Camaro is a freakin beast to drive now, and soooooo much more fun than with that baby 3200!!! lol. Good luck. Working on trying to get a WOT pull video for you guys, from 10-100mph, but the weather down here just won't play nice.. lol. Working on it though, got the camera and the friend, just need some good weather.

Got the car back a little while ago. Had to do a quick turn around for a small adjustment. This car is a beast for a stock cam car!! Tune is SPOT on!! Way better then the last guy!!! Pulls and pulls. Now the piggy bank starts for the next upgrade .
