Really unhappy !
Hi all,
It has been a while since I've been wandering around in this group but this is my first post in here. I guess that I'd roam around with badluck all the time in my right pocket ! I bought a 2013 2LT in May and just after 2 weeks (After about 1000 miles on it), this douche bag rear ended me and I have to part with my camaro for 3 weeks. And today, I parked it in the office and realized that it was not parked right and tried to crank up the engine. It did not start. Just 3 months with the car and battery issues so early ?? Is this normal. The guy from Chevrolet road side assistance came up to my rescue and gave a jump start so that I can take it a dealer ! I feel bad already ! And even when I was driving it to the dealer, the engines revs up on its own and the brakes light on the odometer pop up every now and then. Is something wrong with it ? Please advise ! |

What I was thinking. The battery and/or the wires were damaged in that read-ender, but not noticed/fixed at the time. Electrical problems CAN make it seem like your car is possessed!

The battery plates probably shifted inside the case because of the impact.
The battery basically shorted itself out internally.

Man that sucks getting a new car and getting rear ended! I hope that was the end of collision issues and it looks great!
I bought a new car in 05 and after about a week a dump truck passed me on interstate and a big rock I mean real big came off and came straight at me smashed the windshield right in front of my face! Its not the same thing I'm just saying you go years without an issue get a new car and bam! |

Don't all GM's have battery run-down protection? Leave everything on....it shouldn't kill the battery.
