As I am contemplating participation in autocross myself I'm hoping to see what some of the seasoned vets say about your demonstration. To my inexperienced eyes it looked like a fun and exciting ride. As long as you don't hit any cones or spin out its a successful run. I'm going to approach this as competing against myself, not the other driver/car combinations. That will come after I learn what the heck I'm doing. I've been paying close attention to Joelster in the Z/28 section. Check out his vids, he and his ride have got it goin' on!

There's a few portions where you could have gotten on the gas and harder on the brakes rather than coasting in and there sections where you can hear those tires talking.
A clean run is better than being super fast but getting penalties. I competed in 4 events with my car so by no means am I an expert

Does look like fun but I have to also say I dont know how you don't get confused which way to go. I would need a big floating arrow above my hood to tell me which way to go like in a video game. It seems like one missed turn would cost a lot of time. Whats the point system like?

Definitely looks like seat time is the major factor here and just overall comfort with pushing the car. Like one other said, you had more room to be more aggressive into and out of turns. You saw your big mistake which is fine just always remember to keep looking “up”. Once your at a cone be looking for the next 2. If your looking at where you currently are you are going to lose time. Your second solemn you got into pretty late which made you slow through the rest of it and cost you a bit of time as well. Overall I would say not bad for someone that hasn’t done it for a while but continue to push and find the limits then just barley back off them

I sat right seat with a few individuals at an event earlier this year. Thoroughly confused after the 3rd time out I questioned "Why don't they reset all those cones that are laying on their side, they're all over the place?" My buddy explained to me with a snicker that they are pointer cones. I felt like I was worthy of a cap with similar characteristics.

I know that about the cones and I would still mess it up.
