RADIOS A PIECE OF SH**

My radio is a piece of shit every time i get in the radio either works or does not work, i have taken it to gm and every time they get in it work and there is nothing they can do so idk where else to go any ideas?

Could you describe the problem? Like does the radio not turn on? Does it not play music? etc etc

swap your radio out with someone that has done the metra install? see if its specific to the radio or the car... just a thought

I have a 2011 ss ls3 6mt, and the radio wil just completely shut off, no sound nothing, back up sensor, blinkers, door chime, seat belt chime nothing works not even the onstar voice, and then itll randomly come back on and off

Check the fuses and make sure they are seated firmly. I had a couple loose ones and had to push them in....all good now. Had a similar problem with my previous GM as well.

i checked all the fuses i found no fuses for the radio so i didnt see if any were loose what would it be labeled i checked both

Can you still see the display, or is it just the sound that is not working? I would just take it to the dealer.

i took it and when they got in it the radio was working this is not the only time ive tried its getting annoying so i dont know were to turn except radio upgrade which i dont really wont to do

You need to be very very persistent with your dealer. INSIST on a radio change out. Intermittent issues are very hard to fix and find. Make the suggestion to the dealer to change out the Radio and see what they say. They may go for it. Be pleasantly persistent. Dont go away. Go up the chain of command until you get what you want. :-) There is no logical reason you should have to spend money on a replacement Head unit unless you were going to replace it any way.
