I'll never be good enough of a driver to take full use of a ZL1's capabilities, much less the 1LE package too.

Don't yonder over to the ass hats on the Mustang forums. I happened to troll on over and THEY still think the Zl1 has no nuts compared to their precious 350. I can't take it over there. Now that I'm back over here, my blood pressure has lowered.

Dealers marking up cars is not the same thing as the manufacturer setting an MSRP. Dealers are dealers, GM is GM. If a dealer wants to sell a car for 10 million, GM can't stop them. Just like GM can't stop them from giving away 5 free Malibus with every purchase of a Silverado. It would be nonsense for them to try either of those things, but the point is that its up to the dealer not GM.

Don't like it when a dealership tacks on thousands? Then don't pay it, and try to discourage others from paying it too. But don't blame the manufacturer. They don't have a say in the matter.

In no way am I blaming the manufacturer. But I'm just thinking in my head, the ZL1 was already MSRP at $68K roughly and after taxes maybe around $73 OTD. You add this package which I'm guessing will be at least 5-7 grand on top of the MSRP so you're already at $74K MSRP, so OTD your looking at close to $80K.

Of course dealership will do markups but don't be surprised if you see $100K ZL1's at dealerships and the number regular customer not us as enthusiasts and who know better will say, "Who is paying $100K for a Camaro?" Just like you heard "Who is paying $80K for a mustang?"

im liking the wheels and wider tires. calipers you can send out to get repainted or powdercoated yourself, not expensive at all. i plan on getting the dark taillamps anyway. everything else is ugly for street use. in my opinion.

The Chevy engineers must feel very confident they have the LT4 cooling issues resolved to release a track dedicated car with a roots supercharger.

Which is why the base LT, V6 LT, V6 LT 1LE, SS, and SS 1LE exist.

Though the base LT is still probably beyond the capabilities of an awfully large percentage of drivers. It wasn't that long ago that 275 hp in a 3300 lb car would have been pretty good for a Corvette. Isn't progress a wonderful thing?

Generally good advice at any time, regardless of whether there is any breaking Camaro news or not.

Also ... don't troll other forums. We don't like it when Mustang fanboys troll here under the guise of 'setting the record straight', so why would they welcome Camaro fanboys trolling under the guise of 'setting the record straight'?
