2014 ZL1
starting the process of ordering my 2014 ZL1 (have a 2012 SS now) is there anything that you must have when you got yours.
I was thinking of the lighted footwells and cup holders but cant find any pics of them. Also want the ZL1 lid cover and the carbon fiber hood insert let me know what you needed and ordered thanks |

The footwell lighting is crazy over priced IMO.
One thing I would definitely get is the Nav. |

Yes, get the NAV, it will help on resale if you want to sell it. And I like the display

I am ordering Dual Exhaust on mine. I would look into this unless you have plans for an aftermarket exhaust already. There is also a new option for Recaro seats. I do not think you can get the ZL1 hood, that will have to be upgraded afterwards and the ZL1 hood cowl does not align with the SS bumper on the z2013s, not sure about the alignment with the 2014s because the SS has a new hood and bumper.

With everyone having a smartphone these days with traffic updated NAV on their phone why would you pay $700 for NAV in your car? All the 2014's come with MyLink so no matter what you get the touch screen anyway.

Have to agree. Nav stuck in the car with limited updates seems like a dieing option.

Imagine driving down the road and you can see on the map in your dash that there is traffic/ a cop up ahead... AND if you have a HUD it would show the alerts on that as well so you never have to look down. Imagine the possibilities!

Footwell lighting is a waste. Very faint light, barely visible. You can do much better aftermarket. Good luck and enjoy. Peter

Sure you could do better with aftermarket but then your dealing with unreliablity. The stock footwell lighting I was quite suprised. 2 different colors 2 types of brightness.
