The Camaro is no sports car, maybe a sporty car.

Like some are asking, it's probably below 40% were you live. I chose the 2LT (19" rims) without the RS package because they are all season tires. They are never bumpy because of this and a garage that is usually 20% warmer than outside.

I know what small side walls do in cold weather. I've had an Altima SE V6 for 5 years. It has 17" rims with very little side walls. It's bumpy on a cold morning for a few miles until the tires warm up and don't have a flat spot. Do you have a warm garage? I bet not.

Had my 2SS up to a playful 136 mph a couple weeks ago and it was the the smoothest fast I have ever been.

Right on, brother! It is for sure a muscle car, and after you mod it out, it's
a muscle car on steroids!

That depends on what you are talking about.

Within the industry, the Camaro (and Mustang and Challenger) compete in the "Sport" Segment. The Corvette competes in the "High Sport" segment. That's something determined by R. L. Polk Inc.

Not everyone would consider the Camaro a Muscle car - and frankly we don't position it as such because it is a 'turn-off' to a very large percentage of the population. If we want this car to be successful over the long run - we have to make it appeal to a wider audience - -

IS it a muscle car?

well - I'd certainly think that the SS could be considered as one.

(.....and besides...Thor would be upset with me if I didn't say he was a muscle car...........

Drive the car for about 10 minutes. This shold be enough time to warm up the Pirellies. Mine is very bumpy with the lower temps of Winter. After about 10 min. it smoothes out.

The Camaro has not always been a "muscle car".
You could purchase a new Camaro in 1982 with a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder Iron Duke engine with an awesome 90 horsepower.

That had more to do with government restrictions and gas prices and that was the lowest powered engine the top sadly was 165hp but during that period everything else mass produced was underpowered.Mustang I4 88 horses, 5.0v8 157 horses. The corvette had a whopping 200 hp. My first Camaro a 96 V6 had that and was over half a second faster 0-60 so what defines a sports car or a muscle car or pony car it's all relative and not one person can be the judge and jury.

OP, I thought the same thing soon after I got mine, turns out it was low pressure due to ambient temperature drop last fall. It was the tire pressure. Pump them up to 36lbs cold and get back to us. I'm sure you'll notice the improvement.
