All things come to an end. I recall watching on April 12, 1981 the Columbia go up as the first shuttle launch. Proud day knowing my hands help build the fuel system parts along with various valves and fittings on all the shuttles.

It's a bitter/sweet event especially knowing we have nothing ready to replace the shuttle right now.

For those who missed it in the shuttle along with it's human cargo carried a NASA GM collaboration to work on the space station. Check out the video.
