Recaro seats constraint

I placed an order for a 23’ Rapid blue 1ss & I know that the Recaros are on constraint, but is there a chance that because I chose the seats my order may never get picked up in the year 2023 ?

Yes your order will not get picked up. For GM to pick up and accept they must have all parts ready for build. This happened on my ‘22 order with the GM CAI. Once I took it off my order was accepted the following week.

Damn, what a bummer. Recaros can't just be added later.

So I assume, just like the ZL1 1LE wing, you can no longer add these items as options but they still come with the appropriate packages and trims(SS 1LE, ZL1, ZL1 1LE)?

I would wait for them. Of all the Camaro options they may be the best one. They are all day driving Seats, good at holding you in place against gravity, good looking and makes other Camaro owners jealous. Red seat belts really go with them.

And best of all no animals were tortured to make them.

Wait a minute... Isn't Alcantara some leather from animals of the unobtainium genome?

Taken from Google search:

Alcantara is not a type of leather, but a trade name for a microfibre fabric, made from polyester and polystyrene, which originated in Japan. Microfibres are extremely fine - 10,000 metres of fibre weigh less than 1 gram. Currently Alcantara is mainly produced in Italy.

What if my 2022 LT1 was built on 5/19? will it still get Recaros or will that hold things up?

I'm guessing 27 4/7 Makes a seat bottom. It took 49 to make my new Jacket last fall. I had it tanned red to match my car seats.

Sounds like it was built prior to the constraint. It's likely a 2023 model year issue.

Agree Fraxum they are very good seats and comfortable once you break them in to your body shape and weight.👍

We have the Recaros in our vert.
We test drove a coup with standard 2SS seats and I was more comfortable driving in them. I didnt understand why the salesmen ordered the vert with the Recaros. I would have done it the other way. They were otherwise as identical as a coup and vert can be.
I dont know if is due to the vert or the Recaros but they moved a few inches farther forward and that enabled my wife to floor the clutch. She was unable in the coup.
She is perfectly comfortable.
I am uncomfortable with the seat back stop. I would at times be more comfortable reclined farther back. Theres plenty of room.
Theres youtube vids showing how to grind off the stop...Im more or less disinclined to pull the seat and grind stuff though.
Otherwise they are very good seats. Not that the vert is blasting around corners at extreme Gs requiring me to be glued in there.... But they do glue you in place.
