Cool What is the best cam for the LS3 for street

What is the best cam for the LS3 for street, not looking for a lot of extra power, just a good lopey sound at idle.............. JRJ

The TSP 231/236 has a radical idle, nice lope.

Comp Cams 227/239 with .613/.623 lift, very nice lope, sounds freakin beautiful with the cutouts open! these couple of videos will give you an idea of the sound of the cam with and without cutouts. Love the cam, changes the car totally. My cam is tuned to idle at 725 rpm.

T&L automotive in Clemmons near Winston-Salem..won't take it anywhere else. Tuned at Precision Dyno in Belmont near Charlotte.

There are about a half a dozen "best cams" out there. Call around and go with your gut.

With LT headers and 3" exhaust it sounds pretty narley with a nice lope. I'll post a video for you in the maņana and pm you when it's up

You can get the lopey sound from a tune alone....todays computers allow us to run far more aggressive cam grinds on the street than ever before with carburated cars where the lack of vacuum from a long duration cam and carb signal being so weak caused the lope and the hi idle.
