'15 Z/28 grille swap-- RS chrome strip ideas.

I have a '15 2SS/RS 1LE that i just got a Z/28 grille (and aero package w/w/bill) installed onto and of course, im now stuck with the remqining strips of chrome over the headlights. I can already see the all black face itll have as its not wearing the hood piece and it makes a MAJOR difference in looks!!

So, i was wondering what some of you that swapped their grilles for Z/28, or heritage as its also called, have done to cover the remaining parts?

Also, i always tought the remaining "holes" everyone talks about when swapping out the grille were above the grille.... But their not. So i started thinking they must be from people REMOVING the eyebrows?? As if i remove these instead of doing whatever to them, i WILL have holes there. ( not that they'd show, but still.

So what's the best idea to color these chrome strips.... Or remove em altogether??

Thanks!!!!

HELLsx

Yup, I removed the entire thing and tossed it. Removing the silver strip is a pain in the ass and does leave those tiny holes on the sides, but it looks a lot cleaner with just the z/28 grill and no silver strip.

The OP is right.
Even if he wrapped the chrome strips around the headlights, there'd still be a gap between the headlight chrome strips as the Z/28 grille doesn't have a chrome strip on it.

OP,
Probably the best thing to do is to try and remove the chrome strips from around the headlights.
Don't know how they come off or how difficult it would be.

i taped off around mine and sprayed it with 4 thick layers of black plasti dip. you really cant see the space an gap between these an the grill unless your close up. its all black there so its hard to see details an lines in an all black area, it can only be seen if your like a couple feet in front of it. tape off around the chrome strip an spray it with black plasti dip its the easiest and fastest thing. looks fine

Does anyone actually still have their chrome eyebrows? I kind of want to add the look back in. I was also thinking about getting them molded so I can mount LED halo like eyebrows.
