The one thing I don't like about the Regal that makes it a deal breaker for me:

When you upscale the model, the Sunroof is mandatory. I hate sunroofs.

Actually really pisses me off, cause it was a strong runner as my DD replacement until then.

The highest level you can go in a Regal without a sunroof is RL3, which just adds Convenience/Connectivity Package.

You could always go for a LaCrosse. Or you could wait for the Turbo model. You can go all the way to TO5 without a sunroof.

TO5 Regal = TO1 standard content, Harmon Kardon audio, rear seat-mounted thorax air bags, Bi-Xenon HID headlamps, Interactive Drive Control System, and 19 inch wheels. No sunroof.

And 220 HP/258 lb. ft. of torque.

Everybody I've heard about that has driven the Turbo has RAVED about it. And the 2.4 SIDI engine is no slouch.

Has anyone actually driven the US-spec Regal GS with the 2.0T yet?

You guys, Uhm. NO.

I know they say there's no accounting for taste, but...

Friends don't let C-5 members drool over Buicks.

Personally it looks like a Volkswagon Beetle humped a Camry and that's what came out. Not trying to be mean, just sayin'.

It does look safe and unobtrusive. Be a great car for a stakeout probably.

As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So it is ok to not think it's as awesome a car as those posting above. I don't think it is perfect but on the whole including the interior and drveabilty it is a pretty darn nice car.
