I got this article too. It's enough for me to hold off on the SS and wait for the Zed!
I had a feeling it would make a comeback anyway. Most companies do this kinda marketing. Its nothing new and has very little to do with budget. Bring out half your line at first, price the base models well for exposure and the companie's bread n butter.. then the next year, revive the interest with a hot new feature (convertible) and then the high-powered monster (Z28). That year will then be spent cleaning up the hot-new-product and dealing with recalls. By the time the fall 2012 comes along, work will begin on Gen-6 for 2014. Four years to keep it hot.... all strategy.
