Where is yours mounted? If it's just a break in the wire cut it close to the plug and put your own wire on it. I had to lengthen mine due to visor mount

I think I had to tap the yellow wire for power and black for ground. It's a long time ago that I did mine. I followed the instructions on the DIY here though.

It might be broken just after the pin, might have to modify.
